If We Add Up All The Rewards In Our Lives, We Won't Have Very Much. But If We Add Up The Spaces *between* The Rewards, We'll Come Up With Quite A Bit. And If We Add Up The Rewards *and* The Spaces, Then We'll Have Everything - Every Minute Of The Time That We Spent.

From The Taoist Point Of View, The Natural Result Of This Harmonious Way Of Living Is Happiness.

It's Not Surprising, Therefore, That The [bisy] Backson Thinks Of Progress In Terms Of Fighting And Overcoming. One Of His Little Idiosyncrasies, You Might Say. Of Course, Real Progress Involves Growing And Developing, Which Involves Changing Inside, But That's Something The Inflexible Backson Is Unwilling To Do.
