Since Many Of You Do Not Belong To The Catholic Church And Others Are Non-believers, From The Bottom Of My Heart I Give This Silent Blessing To Each And Every One Of You, Respecting The Conscience Of Each One Of You But Knowing That Each One Of You Is A Child Of God.

Sometimes We Are Tempted To Find Excuses And Complain, Acting As If We Could Only Be Happy If A Thousand Conditions Were Met...i Can Say That The Most Beautiful And Natural Expressions Of Joy Which I Have Seen In My Life Were In Poor People Who Had Little To Hold On To.

American Catholics Are Committed To Building A Society Which Is Truly Tolerant And Inclusive, To Safeguarding The Rights Of Individuals And Communities, And To Rejecting Every Form Of Unjust Discrimination. With Countless Other People Of Good Will, They Are Likewise Concerned That Efforts To Build A Just And Wisely Ordered Society Respect Their Deepest Concerns And Their Right To Religious Liberty.

All Of Us Benefit From Remembering Our Past. A People Which Remembers Does Not Repeat Past Errors; Instead, It Looks With Confidence To The Challenges Of The Present And The Future.
