If It Is The Greatest

The Credit Of Advancing Science Has Always Been Due To Individuals And Never To The Age.

No One Can Take From Us The Joy Of The First Becoming Aware Of Something, The So-called Discovery. But If We Also Demand The Honor, It Can Be Utterly Spoiled For Us, For We Are Usually Not The First. What Does Discovery Mean, And Who Can Say That He Has Discovered This Or That? After All It's Pure Idiocy To Brag About Priority; For It's Simply Unconscious Conceit, Not To Admit Frankly That One Is A Plagiarist.

We All Walk In Mysteries. We Are Surrounded By An Atmosphere About Which We Still Know Nothing At All.

There Are But Two Roads That Lead To An Important Goal And To The Doing Of Great Things: Strength And Perseverance. Strength Is The Lot Of But A Few Privileged Men; But Austere Perseverance, Harsh And Continuous, May Be Employed By The Smallest Of Us And Rarely Fails Of Its Purpose, For Its Silent Power Grows Irresistibly Greater With Time.

It Is Delivery That Makes The Orators Success.
