Not To Abide In Jesus’ Love Would Mean That We Stop Believing That We Are Loved By Jesus. We Look At Our Circumstances - Perhaps Persecution Or Disease Or Abandonment - And We Conclude That We Are Not Loved By Jesus Anymore. That’s The Opposite Of Abiding In The Love Of Jesus. So Abiding In His Love Means Continuing To Believe, Moment By Moment, That We Are Loved.

Life Is Not A Straight Line Leading From One Blessing To The Next And Then Finally To Heaven. Life Is A Winding And Troubled Road. Switchback After Switchback. And The Point Of Biblical Stories Like Joseph And Job And Esther And Ruth Is To Help Us Feel In Our Bones (not Just Know In Our Heads) That God Is For Us In All These Strange Turns. God Is Not Just Showing Up After The Trouble And Cleaning It Up. He Is Plotting The Course And Managing The Troubles With Far-reaching Purposes For Our Good And For The Glory Of Jesus Christ.

Grace Is Power, Not Just Pardon.

Redemption Is Not Perfection. The Redeemed Must Realize Their Imperfections.

The Offspring Of The Woman, Jesus Christ, Came Into The World To Save Women Who Have Dethroned God, Taken His Place, Defined Personhood As Tissue, And Willed The Death Of Their Own Child. It Can't Be Reversed, But It Can Be Forgiven. That Is Why Christ Died.
