It May Help Us To Escape All Criticism, We May Even Be Able To Deceive Ourselves In The Belief Of Our Obvious Righteousness. But Deep Down, Below The Surface Of The Average Man's Conscience, He Hears A Voice Whispering, 'there Is Something Not Right,' No Matter How Much His Rightness Is Supported By Public Opinion Or By The Moral Code.

The Most Intense Conflicts, If Overcome, Leave Behind A Sense Of Security And Calm Which Is Not Easily Disturbed, Or Else A Brokenness That Can Hardly Be Healed. Conversely, It Is Just These Intense Conflicts And Their Conflagration Which Are Needed In Order To Produce Valuable And Lasting Results.
